I was on Yahoo! news just a second ago and I read the story about Dwayne Wade’s gift to an unfortunate boy. The boy lived in Florida and was a big fan of the Miami Heats, the team that Wade plays on. The boy was bitten by a bug and he went into a two hour shock, and had to be treated with intensive care. And in the end he had to remove his hands and feet in order to survive. It is such a tragic story and this boy’s life has been changed forever. He was a really active kid who play a lot of sports and of course video games. Wade visited him in his house and saw that his room was full of all kinds of Maimi Heats things but realized that he did not have a Maimi jersey, so in the game Monday, he took off his own jersey and gave it to the kid who was in the audience. It was such a generous gesture! It is touching to see that there are people who care about the well being of others. And Wade has gone around and talked to other kids too! It is such a great feeling to see that he actually cares for his community. I think he is a great role model for all the other athethles in the sport and other sports as well. I hope he will continue to do what he is doing in his community and be very sucessful!
Tonga’s Volcanic Eruption!
I was on AOL news earlier and I saw the article on the Tonga volcanic eruption under water. I looked through all the pictures and it is so amazing! Its unbelievably amazing, and pretty fascinating too. The video that they have is also pretty spectacular. You should all look it up ;D. Can this volcanic eruption in the ocean be of any harm to the marine life there? The only reason that I am wondering is because in my AP Biology class, I am learning about the different eras and periods, and I loved that a crazzzzzy number of species have been extincted… something like 99.9%! I was awe-strucked! If any one know anything about this topic please comment! It is very interesting to me =).
